This week's "normal" podcast episode is out a tad later than usual (it took awhile to record and edit this and the previous episode), but it covers a lot of ground. First, I take a look at Jordan Diaz's sizzling start in Las Vegas and spend some time carefully unpacking the nature of his approach at the plate. Next, I turn to Chase Calabuig's strong season in Midland and search for the possibilities of his MLB success. Third, I trace the evolution of Kyle Virbitsky's approach to pitching since his drafting in 2021, connect that approach to his organization-leading strikeout total this year, and point toward what his future might hold. Finally, I take a quick (for me, anyway) look at the pro debut of 2022 5th-rounder Jack Perkins, paying particular attention to how his delivery will be an important part of his future progress.
